AMI announces Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) as official Charity Partner

The Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) is proud to announce its partnership with the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) as their official Charity Partner for the 2020 AMI Marketing Excellence Showcase.

The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) is a not-for-profit organisation that harnesses the power of collective investment between government, business and philanthropy to improve the lives of those living in rural, regional and remote Australia. FRRR makes grants to local not-for-profit groups for community-led projects, including funds to help address the most pressing needs that emerge 12-18 months after a disaster event.

“The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) is very pleased to be partnering with the Australian Marketing Institute and its passionate, connected community for the 2020 Marketing Excellence Showcase,” says FRRR CEO, Natalie Egleton.

“As AMI’s charity partner in 2020, we are looking forward to working together to build a broad understanding of rural, regional and remote communities, what it takes to ensure they are vibrant and sustainable. Because of their distance and isolation, communities need support all the time, but particularly during and after disasters.”

In addition to creating awareness and promoting contributions to the not-for-profit organisation, AMI will work with FRRR to create opportunities for small businesses and not-for-profits to enhance their marketing skills.

“With so many marketers living in regional areas of Australia, there are many whose lives who have been impacted by recent climate-related events. We’re particularly pleased to partner with FRRR to aid them in supporting regional communities affected by the devastating fires, continuing drought, and the string of recent natural disasters in Australia,” said AMI Chairperson, Lynda Cavalera.

FRRR has a long history of supporting disaster preparedness and assisting affected communities to recover. Since 2006, FRRR has distributed more than $19 million in grants to communities amidst their recovery from natural disasters.

“FRRR is the only national organisation offering small, discretionary funds to small regional communities across Australia. We strongly believe that local people are best-placed to know what is going to work best in their communities. So, we focus on helping communities address local opportunities and challenges, to deal with factors of distance and service access and to maintain and build community cohesion and strength,” said Egleton.
