Professional and Career Starter Memberships

At the AMI we are all about recognising professionalism and helping our members progress their careers in marketing. That’s why we have made an adjustment to two of our membership levels and post-nominals.

Effective from 1 June 2021, Associate Member designation will change to  Professional Member designation. Professional  Members will be entitled to use the post-nominal of MAMI. If you are currently an Associate Member you will automatically be given the Professional Member designation. There is no change to the benefits you already enjoy and there is no change to the fees you pay. Please change your social media (LinkedIn etc.) profiles and signature panels to reflect this change in designation. This change will apply to all new members, that meet the eligibility requirements, also from 1 June.

The other change is to our Graduate designation. From 1 June 2021, Graduate members will now be known as Career Starter member reflecting the career stage of these members. This change broadens the scope of this category to reflect members that are in the early stages of their career in marketing, but not necessarily new graduates. Existing Graduate members will automatically become Career Starter member. There has been some refinement to the eligibility criteria for Career Starter members. Details can be found on the AMI Website. There is no change to the benefits you already enjoy as a Graduate member and there is no change to the fees you pay.

These changes reflect the feedback we have received from our members and the AMI’s focus on supporting professionalism in marketing.
