What is your WHY? Why members are putting their careers first to become Certified Practising Marketers?

These days just about anyone can call themselves a marketer. But what distinguishes those who say they are a marketer from those who are actually experienced practising professionals is becoming a Certified Practising Marketer (CPM)

Dr Nicole Hartley, CPM

Congratulations Nicole Hartley on becoming a #CertifiedPractisingMarketer! Nicole is an extraordinary academic and researcher, that I have had the privilege of knowing for years, in the areas of service technology, virtualised services, marketing strategy, customer-brand relationships, new media, communication, consumer-making behaviour, and consumer psychology.

Nicole works with companies within the Brisbane technology start-up and social enterprise scene to advise on marketing advertising strategies to launch new-to-market technology-based products and services both nationally and globally. Not only is Nicole a new CPM with a wealth of experience in the marketing community, but she was also recently appointed as The University of Queensland‘s MBA Director.

Nicholas Power, CPM

Congratulations Nicholas Power on becoming a #CertifiedPractisingMarketer! It was a pleasure to catch up with Nick to award him with his CPM and to find out more about the good work being performed by Rural Lifestyle Options Australia, this organisation provides support to families and people with disabilities within rural communities.

The work of marketers just like Nick can have real transformational impact on the growth and success of NFP groups that depend on good marketing practices to continue advancing the interests of their stakeholders. Nick amongst his diverse marketing skill set, also has strong competencies across multimedia and design, delivering real value-add to achieve completion of projects.

Hamish Wyatt, CPM

Congratulations Hamish Wyatt on becoming a #CertifiedPractisingMarketer! It was great to recently catch up to award Hamish and be able to talk war stories about our time in marketing, with coincidentally many similar experiences across sectors.

Hamish is the owner of Wyatt Media and is a highly experienced marketer with over 10+ years spent working in professional services business strategy and operations improvement, digital product and service marketing, media communications, product design and development.

When asked about why CPM is important in advancing his career, Hamish commented, ”Having an industry accreditation is a fantastic way of showing you’ve done the work and you know what you’re talking about. There’s an education benefit, too, where you can take advantage of the resources and access to mentors that AMI gives you.”
