On the 13th July 2021, the Emerging Marketers Committee Victoria held our first event of the year, the Emerging Marketers Victoria Meet & Greet at none other than the Royal Melbourne Hotel. Needless to say even after 4 lockdowns we still know how to host a party! It was a fitting venue filled with not only great food and drink but the company was incredibly hard to beat. With a fantastic turn out of mentors and mentees from our Emerging Marketers Victoria program as well as existing members, non-members and of course our wonderful EMV Committee members and State Committee members, the night was a success!
The event kicked off at 5:30 with an exclusive time slot allocated to our mentors and mentees to mingle with each other and our committee. This was a time for each party to spend some in-person, quality moments with their respective mentors and mentees as well as allowing our mentees to utilise the time to gain some insight from other mentors as well. Of course, any good networking event isn’t complete without a round of “speed networking” which, as anticipated, was extremely well received.
It was around 6:30 when the doors opened to our wider AMI community as well as non-members to enjoy the night too. New and old faces made for a fantastic dynamic and the laughter and conversation kept the energy high throughout the evening. Additionally, the event created a lot of buzz with our non-member attendees who were very interested in the program itself and we are confident they took away some valuable information on AMI. Thank you to our EMV Committee who put in countless hours to ensure the night was a success.
Don’t worry if you missed out on this event. There will be many more in-person events throughout 2021 which are sure to be just as insightful. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
