I have been working in marketing for 37 years so far. The first 17 were in the corporate world covering positions in marketing, logistics, purchasing and administration. For the past 20 years, I have been a lecturer in marketing at both RMIT and Monash Universities. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics, a MBA and a Masters in Education. I am currently completing a PhD. Over the past 37 years, marketing and especially promotions have changed incredibly from primarily print and TV advertising to the incredible power of social marketing and digital marketing. I enjoy keeping up with the latest changes in the field of marketing and that is why I decided to apply for the Certified Practising Marketer so that I can continue to keep my marketing skills up to date, and pass these current skills on to our students.
