Chair Report: February 2019

 

This is a new year and a new beginning.

I don’t know about you but it feels as if the year is just flying past – what happened to January? The team at AMI has been super busy delivering so much value for our members and for you.

Some of the exciting changes include the following:

  • Improved member experience with AMI Member Hub – make sure you log in and check it out.
  • Simplification of renewal payment methods based on feedback received from our members.
  • Step in the right direction with a new user-friendly and mobile responsive website with more enhancements to be delivered throughout the year to improve the member experience.
  • Exclusive member-only content, reports and On Demand interviews with thought leaders in a new and improved AMI Content Library.
  • New platform launched for Awards to make it easier to submit awards entries.
  • A full professional development calendar with Marketing Masters seminars tailored for senior marketers.
  • And like many other brands the AMI is moving towards becoming greener by reducing paper use and print brochures. All membership applications will now be available online and can be done from a mobile phone.

Most importantly the AMI Awards for Excellence are now open. Every year the awards have become bigger and bigger, becoming the iconic event to celebrate great work done by Australian marketing professionals across all sectors. So get your entries in! Get involved in the judging panel or even sponsor an award. It’s also a fun night where marketers can network and mingle with their peers over a few drinks.

This year, the gala presentation will be held in Melbourne and the Awards program will have refreshed format. Stay tuned for more details to be announced soon!
