CEO Update: April 2017

Greetings to all and a warm welcome to our new members!

Since my February update to you, we have welcomed hundreds of new Members and Certified Practicing Marketers.

As the peak professional association for Marketing in Australia, we are committed to expanding Marketing knowledge  across the wide diversity of skills.

The Australian Marketing Institute has an innovative professional development and event hub to suit professionals at all levels of capability.

For our Corporate Members we can help you with customised marketing training workshops bespoke to your business needs.

AMI (the Australian Marketing Institute) and ADMA (Association for Data-Driven Marketing and Advertising) formed an education partnership in 2016 to help drive marketing excellence in Australia.

AMI augmented its training program by offering a wide range of online, in-class and bespoke marketing education courses under the AMI brand.

In March 2016, the AMI launched the first stage of the program, AMI Online training followed in October 2016 by stage two, AMI Workshops.

We are delighted to announce the launch a third stage in the education partnership.

A brand new education Framework and Assessment giving business the power to assess the current skills of your teams to determine skills gaps and opportunities for development.

Why did we launch the FACTS program?

Every day, marketing managers, teams and professionals alike are asking the same questions…

What skills SHOULD we have?      What skills DO we have?

How do we bridge the GAP?      How do we show the ROI on training?

How do I give my staff the clear CAREER PATH?   How do we COMPARE to the market?

As marketers, success and recognition depends on demonstrating your skills and capabilities. So, it’s important to know what skills are required in this high velocity business landscape, to equip yourself with those skills and keep them up-to-date.

Business success depends on building the skills and marketing intelligence of marketing teams to face the ever changing and ever increasing needs of customers.

This unique approach to skill enhancement will enhance corporate team’s marketing skills, along with individual marketers careers and business success.

The Certified Practicing Marketer designation is the peak designation for marketers in Australia. The designation shows that you are a professional marketer – recognized by your peers for your experience and qualifications.

Unlike your educational qualifications, the Certified Practicing Marketer designation is recognition of both formal education and successful application of your marketing knowledge and skills.

The Certified Practicing Marketer Program is dedicated to:

  • Defining excellence in the marketing profession
  • Advancing your knowledge with appropriate professional development and networking opportunities
  • Promoting the profession of marketing by recognizing only qualified practitioners

Just as not all accountants are created equal. Neither are marketers. We encourage employers to hire a Certified Practicing Marketer the benchmark designation for Marketers in Australia. If you are interested in becoming a Certified Practicing Marketer please apply here .
