2020 AMI Marketing Excellence Showcase marks a new era for the Industry in Australia

To welcome the new decade, The Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) has relaunched its annual awards as the 2020 AMI Marketing Excellence Showcase. Established in 1982, the AMI recognises distinguished professionals across the marketing industry. This year represents a new decade and opportunity to support a next era of marketing in Australia.

The AMI Marketing Excellence Showcase provides the opportunity to promote, recognise and celebrate brilliance in the marketing community.

With awards submissions open until 1 May 2020, the showcase is the chance for marketers to get the acknowledgement they deserve as being at the top of their profession.

The AMI’s vision is to help members keep up with the rapid pace of change, be known for their success and demonstrate the strategic power that marketing has in the business world today.

“We are excited to welcome the most innovative and highest performing marketers, advertisers, publishers, creatives, agencies, influencers and staff from across Australia,” said AMI Chair Lynda Cavalera

“The 2020 Marketing Excellence Showcase is our way of providing a platform that all marketing professionals deserve; to demonstrate their prowess and be inspired by others in the community. We encourage all marketers to get involved to help us elevate the profession and drive marketing forward as a strategic role in the business.”

In addition to the celebration of the marketing profession, the AMI is using this showcase as an opportunity to support Australia’s rural, regional and remote communities by partnering with the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR). FRRR supports communities to address local opportunities and challenges – like the drought and fires that have dominated the headlines.

“The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) is very pleased to be partnering with the Australian Marketing Institute and its passionate, connected community for the 2020 Marketing Excellence Showcase,” says FRRR CEO, Natalie Egleton.

“As AMI’s charity partner in 2020, we are looking forward to working together to build a broad understanding of rural, regional and remote communities to ensure they are vibrant and sustainable, and to explore ways to enhance the marketing skills of local not-for-profits.”

About the AMI Marketing Excellence Showcase

Established in 1982 as the Hoover Marketing Awards, the AMI Marketing Excellence Showcase has become one of the biggest programs on the Australian marketing calendar. For 39 years, the AMI community have celebrated individuals and organisations who have achieved extraordinary success from innovative and effective marketing practices.

The AMI Awards have evolved over the years in response to new development theory and practice to reflect the growing appreciation of the critical role of marketing as the vital source of value creation for a business.

This year, there are 18 standard categories and 9 special categories. Submissions are open to any organisation regardless of the industry or sector you operate in. Rather than offering industry specific categories, nominees are encouraged to make submissions in award categories most relevant to the individual or the nature of their campaign.
