Women World Changers

Women World Changers is THE PLATFORM for critical debate on the impact and economics of gender, diversity, talent and culture on business growth. In 2017 we welcome Valerie Jarrett, the longest serving Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama and Elizabeth Broderick, Australia’s longest serving Sex Discrimination Commissioner (2007 – 2015).

Throughout her tenure at the White House, Ms Jarrett championed the creation of equality and opportunity for all Americans, and economically and politically empowered women in the US and internationally. She oversaw the Administration’s advocacy for workplace policies that empower working families, including equal pay, raising the minimum wage, paid leave, paid sick days, workplace flexibility, and affordable childcare.

At Women World Changers, Valerie Jarrett will present The Politics of Equal Representation. Learn how inequalities of class, race, sexuality, gender and nation are constructed; socially, in the workplace, politically and in office.

Elizabeth Broderick was a key advocate of Australia’s paid parental leave scheme, and influenced changes to regulations to increase the numbers of women at decision-making level and elevate the voice of women in marginalised communities. Elizabeth will present on Building The Organisation Of The Future: Why Diversity Is Top Priority For Progressive Leaders.
